Last trip of the year…
Mike is organising a club open canoe trip on the 28th (Sunday) December at the Poachers Pocket near Chirk. This is a beautiful bit of canal and should be well worth doing. And it involves a pub so it must be good. Please contact Mike by the 27th if you’re interested.

See - the mighty bloggers never sleep, not even at 7 o’clock on Christmas eve. It must be because Deb is all excited about Santa being on his way…

That might of course be because the mighty bloggers don’t stop coughing enough to sleep…
And Santa is on his way. According to the Norad website he’s in Russia. That means he’ll soon be at the Robbo’s for Maltese mince pies (or maybe malteasers) before coming to Shropshire.
Wonder what the weather’s like in Malta? Do any out of port members read this blog and can they tell us?

Santa really loved his maltese mince pies!!! The weather here was a bit warmer than in Shropshire (just a bit). During the day, temperatures were reaching 20+ in the sun!! Very cold at night though and with no central heating or fire in a house that is designed to be cool in the summer, it is very cold watching the TV! But don’t think we will get much sympathy somehow!!!
Just seen in 2009 standing on the roof of our house watching the fireworks and the stars!! Oliver even saw a shooting star.
Happy New Year to all at Shropshire Paddlesport
