January 9 - Start of Oswestry pool sessions - first block

February 7 - Waterside A (Great Bedwyn to Newbury)
The first of the Waterside 4-race series. Traditionally seen as part of the training programme for the DW but a great race series in its own right. Waterside A is limited to 400 paddlers and is always very heavily oversubscribed so keep your eye on the Watersides website at http://www.watersides.fsnet.co.uk/.

February 13 - Start of Oswestry pool sessions - second block

February 14 - Thameside 1 (Aldermaston to Reading) The first of the two Thameside races run by Reading Canoe Club which interleave between the Watersides. See http://www.reading-canoe.org.uk/thamesides.htm

February 20- Burton Duathlon (N.B. Saturday not Sunday)

February 21 - Waterside B (Newbury to Aldemaston and return)

February 28 - Thameside 2 (Reading to Marlow) see Thameside 1 above.
