Racing Vests

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 by Andy May

So, it’s good to see that club racing vests have startyed to trickle through. Deb and I did an order for a few people, others got their own to the extent that apparently we have run Fastrax out of ladies racing vests in our colour for the time being.

I had a note from Jo at Fastrax (http://www.fastraxrunning.co.uk/ - 01943 601 581) to say that they will be able to get some more after the Bank Holiday weekend. That doesn’t help the folk going to the National Finals, but if anyone else wants one then if you get cracking then you might have them in time for Fladbury.

Good luck to everyone competing at Worcester for the nationals - Deb & I won’t be there, but we’ll see you all and hear the stories next week. If anyone wants to write it up for the blog (and anyone can post here you know - just ask me how) OR you can email it to me and I’ll post it for you.

National Finals - entries please !

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 by Deb Starkings

Don’t forget - I need confirmation of bookings and boats for the national finals by Thursday of this week.

I am also taking bookings for Fladbury hasler on 21st September and for the 2008 hasler finals on the Sept 28th.

Too marathon-centric?

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008 by Deb Starkings

I’m very aware that this is very marathon dominated at the moment. That’s mostly because the only people who have requested posting rights are me and Andy. We know stuff about marathon but aren’t really qualified to talk about what is going on in other disciplines.

However, if you don’t want to post things yourself - especially if its a news item, give us an e-mail and we’ll bang it up here.

Otherwise, please come and join us on here - its lonely there just being the two of us - and if we don’t get some company it becomes the kind of conversation we have at home and we may end up discussing which of us has fed the cat today…

Padlock Changes

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008 by Andy May

As you may have noticed the shed has new padlocks. Keys are in the process of being distributed to all the nominated keyholders (thank you Joe).

Can we just remind people that if you’re the last keyholder to leave it’s your responsibility to ensure that all the padlocks are secure. This includes the one on the toilet - there have been a couple of instances of the combination lock for the toilet “going missing” recently which, we assume, is due to it being left unfastened. Not only does this mean that we need to replace the padlock, it also means that the toilet gets used by boaters & fishermen who, to be honest, leave it in an unpleasant state.
