This will give paddlers the chance to improve their open water skills and try a variaty of boats.  We need to know rough numbers so we can plan which boats and how many to take. please get in touch and let us know if your up for it!

Training will start at 6.30pm so you need to be changed, warmed up and ready to go for 6.30. If you can arrive early to help set up the gates thats even better.

Please bring a bottle of water / squash to have either before/during/after training, slalom is thirsty work!

If you need to borrow a boat there are quite a few smallish slalom boats or plastic boats.

Don't worry if you've never done slalom before, as long as you can padddle straight, know your sweep strokes and are keen thats all thats needed.

The session will finish around 8pm depending on light.

On a somewhat changeable weekend weather wise everyone put in a great effort to give Shropshire's highest placing in this competition yet.

The team consisted of: Marcus Whittle, Conner Lambert, Phil Bevan, Florance Whittle, Caroline Bevan, Anita Evans, Tom Rosser, Will Bevan, Joseph Whittle, Matthew Whittle, Tim Bevan and Cameron Lambert.

This year Shropshire Paddlesport finished 16th out of 22 teams who had entered from accross the country. We also managed to pick up the Tom Wells Shield for the best team whithout a full team. We were most delighted by this and it will soon be on display at the club.

Joe and Matthew Whittle had another go at the gate judge exam this year and both passed so congratulations to them both.

Thankyou to our valuable supporters: Joe, Lucy, Jonathan and Poppy.
